Turn Your Old Laptops and Notebooks Into Digital Picture Frames!

Do not recycle your old laptops and notebooks in the common way.
Squeeze new life out of them instead.

Turn them from this

 into this

Yes.
From laptop/notebook to digital picture frame (DPC) in a few steps.

Whether you own an old Apple iBook, Toshiba Satellite, Compaq Presario, Sony VAIO or a whole host of other makes and models you can get detailed instructions on how to convert those ready-for-recycling laptops and notebooks into something you can still use and save quite a bit of money over buying a DPC new.

It's all available at the Repair4Laptop site!

Now get to work!

Long way to go for a drink of water...

The picture below is of a 9th century step-well in India.
It's name, Chand Baori.

With 3500 steps, if you weren't thirsty when you started your descent, you sure will be when you get to the water.

I guess this is what you get when you let MC ESCHER design your water well.

All kidding aside, Chand Baori is an amazing piece of architecture.

Cheers.

The Telephone of Tomorrow from Boys' Life 1962...

Matt Novak recently posted an interesting illustrated strip from the November 1962 issue of Boys' Life magazine.
The strip outlined guesses for the "Telephones of Tomorrow".
Okay, maybe they were not guesses...they did a good job of seeing the world of today's phones.

In the strip there's video conferencing, portable phones, and even car phones.

Sometimes you can predict the future...sort of.

The technology referred to by the strip must have all sounded so unbelievable 50 years ago.

Read Matt Novak's blog for more.
See a copy of the entire Boys Life issue from November 1962.
